Dr. Rhonda Schafer-McLean
Rhonda Schafer-McLean, MD, PhD, has been practicing in Bismarck since 2009. She specializes in Women’s Health Care including:
- Obstetrics/Pregnancy
- Gynecology
- Surgery
- Annual exams
- In-office procedures including pap smears, endometrial biopsies, cervical polyp removal and IUD placement
Dr. Schafer continues her work at UND Center for Family Medicine while simultaneously offering services at Balance Medical and other satellite clinic locations, including Beulah, Hazen, Linton, and Wishek.
She performs all surgical procedures and delivers babies at Sanford Health. All outpatient procedures such as uterine ablation, IUD placement, coloscopy, loop excision, and hysteroscopy are performed by Dr. Rhonda at UND Center for Family Medicine.

Dr. Rhonda
Dr. Rhonda loves hosting parties, watching movies or playing board games with her family. She regularly visits her hometown and the family farm. During the sunny summer days, you will find her on her unique pontoon on the Missouri River.
