Postpartum Care

We also provide ongoing support after childbirth to ensure a healthy recovery and address any concerns. This includes postpartum checkups, mental health support, contraceptive counseling, pelvic floor and recovery support, and breastfeeding and infant care guidance.

The Balance Medical Approach to Obstetric Care

At Balance Medical, your prenatal journey is managed by our experienced team, including Kristen Scholl, PA-C, Maren Doctker, PA-C, and Dr. Rhonda Schafer-McLean, MD/PhD. We provide care through 28 weeks in concert with primary care and will assist you in choosing a hospital and delivery team for your birth experience. All necessary laboratory work can be conveniently completed in-house.
