“I’ve had several facials at Bal Med SKIN and it was phenomenal! They were very professional and communicated and explained to me the process every step of the way. I felt so relaxed and really enjoyed my time with them. I highly recommend microneedling and BBL forever young! My skin is glowing and has never looked better!”

Microdermabrasion is generally suitable for a wide range of skin types and tones. Ideal candidates for the treatment are those who have mild skin concerns and are seeking a minimally invasive procedure solution. The Microdermabrasion Treatment
The microdermabrasion procedure can be performed in several different ways, depending on the specific device used.
Diamond Microdermabrasion: This technique involves the use of a diamond-tip handpiece, which is designed to gently exfoliate the skin. Simultaneously, it will suction dead skin cells away.
Crystal Microdermabrasion: This technique involves the use of a crystal-emitting handpiece that gently sprays fine crystals on the skin to gently remove dead skin cells. Like the diamond microdermabrasion, dead skin cells are also sanctioned away.
The treatment process begins with cleansing of the face to remove any makeup, oils, or dirt. A special handpiece will then be used to exfoliate the outer layer of the skin gently. In addition to exfoliation, suction will remove any dead skin cells from the treatment area. This process typically takes about 30 minutes to complete.
Microdermabrasion Recovery and Results
Following microdermabrasion, your skin might feel slightly warm and look a little red, similar to a mild sunburn. This redness usually fades within a few hours. Your provider might apply a soothing moisturizer or sunscreen afterward to protect your skin.
It is recommended that patients avoid direct sun exposure and wear sunscreen following treatment to avoid UV damage. We also recommend avoiding harsh skincare products and picking at the treated area. Our team will provide you with specific aftercare instructions for the best results.
Right after treatment, your skin will feel smoother and softer. Over the next few days, your skin may continue to look more refreshed and brighter as it heals. A series of treatments may be recommended to achieve optimal results.
