Start by washing your face with a gentle cleanser, pat it dry, and wait about 30 minutes without applying any products. Then, observe how your skin looks and feels. If your skin appears shiny, especially in the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin), and feels greasy, you likely have oily skin. If it feels tight, rough, or flaky with little to no shine, you probably have dry skin. Those with combination skin will notice oiliness in the T-zone but dryness or normal texture on the cheeks. If your skin feels balanced—not too oily or too dry—you likely have normal skin.
